About Sofia

I've come to believe that healing isn't about following someone else's path—it's about learning to recognize your own.

Throughout my life, transformation has taken many forms. Some seasons asked me to cultivate discipline, resilience, and the courage to push beyond what I believed was possible. Others invited me to slow down, listen more deeply, and discover that healing often comes not from forcing, but from learning to work in partnership with the body instead of against it. Both have shaped who I am.

Early in my career, I designed experiential events and community activations for adidas Running, leading the adidas Runners LA Trail community and creating experiences that brought people together through movement and shared purpose. I later managed the adidas athlete and community experience at the 2019 Trail Running World Championships in Austria while competing as an athlete myself—an experience that deepened my appreciation for how thoughtfully designed environments can elevate performance, belonging, and personal transformation.

Before founding Aprica, I worked alongside neuroscientists, physicians, performance experts, and wellness practitioners developing personalized health protocols. That work deepened my understanding of how movement, nutrition, breathwork, nervous system regulation, and behavior work together to support lasting transformation. Although my work was grounded in science, I felt called to explore the healing traditions that have supported humanity for thousands of years.

That curiosity took me across Asia and Latin America, where I immersed myself in the study of yoga, meditation, Reiki, hypnotherapy, sound healing, and herbal medicine. Those experiences transformed not only how I understood wellness, but how I understood myself.

Looking back, I realize I've always been designing experiences.

Whether I was bringing communities together through movement, developing evidence-informed wellness protocols, or now creating restorative rituals through Aprica, my intention has remained the same: to create environments that help people reconnect with themselves.

Whether we're working together in a private session, gathering for a shared experience, or designing wellness offerings for a luxury hospitality partner, my intention is never to create dependence. It's to help you cultivate the awareness, discernment, resilience, and inner authority to become your own greatest guide.

The Meaning Behind Aprica

Aprica means "a place drenched in sunlight."

Sunlight never forces a flower to bloom. It simply creates the conditions in which blooming becomes possible.

That's how I see my work.

I don't believe healing is something that can be given to another person. I believe each of us already possesses an innate capacity for growth and transformation. My role is simply to help create the conditions where that wisdom can emerge more clearly.
